\"\"Happy Saturday gang! Unfortunately, despite the \u201csnowmegeddon\u201d prediction by weather forecasters, I have to go to work today and cannot do a live stream tonight. There are important updates for SAPA though.<\/p>\n\n

Senator Mike Moon\u2019s SAPA SB952<\/a> (Second Amendment Preservation Act) will be heard in the Senate Transportation, Infrastructure and Public Safety committee<\/a> on Monday (January 26th<\/sup>) at 2:00PM. I am going up to testify for in favor of this bill. While I am up there, I intend to meet with key legislators on property tax issues as well. This is not a knock and shock visit but I am asking if anyone can get up to testify for SAPA, please do so.<\/p>\n\n

If weather prevents this hearing on SAPA and it is re-scheduled, I will email again with that update ASAP.<\/p>\n\n

URGENT CALL TO ACTION: There is a witness form<\/a> we can all fill out in support of Senator Moon\u2019s SAPA. PLEASE fill this form out BEFORE Monday morning if you can. Witness forms can be filled out whether or not you can make it in person to testify and it is an important metric for the committee to see.<\/p>\n\n

It\u2019s time to start calling\/emailing our Representatives and asking for co-sponsorships for SAPA. In this case, there is only one version in the House that matches the intent, language and lock-down title of Senator Moon\u2019s version<\/u><\/strong> and that is Representative Bryant Wolfin\u2019s<\/a> HB3002<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n
