Missouri Freedom Initiative

June 8th, Live Stream Tonight

Happy Saturday gang! We’ll be live tonight with special guest, David Rice. David is a conservative writer, journalist, grant writer, freelancer, and playwright. He writes about many different topics that draw his interests. David is focused on exposing Marxism and all of its lies. We’ll discuss the uni-party in Missouri and the PAC money that flows to “Republican” politicians that is intended to allow for research on aborted embryos and fetuses and how that ties into SJR74 and the ballot initiative process. We’ll be live on the usual platforms. Twitter (X), Rumble, Odysee and You Tube.

We are getting closer to the primaries. Brought to the public’s attention by the Shield Maidens of Missouri is “Operation D.” Operation D is the code word for Democrats to vote in the Republican Primary and Democrats will be voting for Mike Kehoe (R) (Governor), Lincoln Hough (R) (Lt. Governor), Dean Plocher (R) (Secretary of State) and Vivek Malek (R) (Treasurer). Democrats have a time honored tradition in participating in Republican primaries and it looks like 2024 is no exception (ever wonder why so many RINOs and squishies get into office?). So what do these “Republicans” that the Democrats in Missouri will vote for in the primaries have in common? Simple, they make up the power broker middlemen of the swamp. They are some of the squishiest RINOs in Missouri. We know all of them and have stories about each and every one of them. Even Jess Piper (prominent social media Missouri Socialist/Democrat and PAC manager of Blue Missouri) said last year she would have no problem if Republican Mike Kehoe became governor. When the Missouri grassroots were all over Plocher for his multiple scandals last year, Jess Piper was mostly quiet about the scandals on her social media accounts. The point is, Democrats have their favorite politicians in the “Republican” party in Missouri. It’s important to know that going forward.

“Vote Red at all costs” is no longer viable in Missouri (or nationwide). The reason is the Republican Party has been infiltrated by Democrats and Corporatists, just as the Democrat party has been infiltrated by Socialists and Communists. The Republican Party in Missouri is fictionalized into 3 different groups. The first faction are the conservatives. They are not as large in number as you’d think. The second faction are the corporatists (squishies). The third faction are the RINOs. For the average Missouri citizen who does not pay attention to Missouri politics or the Missouri legislature, they do not know who is who. The RINOs and Squishies depend on this ignorance to continue “acting” as conservatives on the campaign trail. If citizens who do not follow Missouri legislation vote Republican on the primary, it generally comes down to name recognition. This kind of voting will ensure Missouri ends up more like Illinois. Since the Democrats have an actual operation to ensure that the statewide offices are held by the RINOs, it makes the conservatives work harder to contrast their differences from their counterparts, all of whom are un-vetted thanks to the HRCC (House Republican Campaign Committee) and the Missouri State Central Committee who threaten to sue the County Central Committees if they try to vet those running from their districts. Sound complicated? That’s because it is not only complicated, it’s just plain nuts! That’s what happens when Democrats infiltrate the Republican Party. The Democrats ACTUALLY control the Republican Party from within the Republican Party. Since the conservatives in office are about 25% of the Republican seats, the idea of vetting is more important than ever.

To make matters even more complicated, RINOs and Corporatists lie on the campaign trail. They often give lip service to conservative ideals but when they get into office, their actions are quite different from their words. Kehoe, Hough and Plocher are EXCELLENT examples of this. These men are poster children representing the worst Missouri has to offer in the Republican primary.

To make matters even worse, the RINOs and Corporatists did all they could to sabotage the Missouri Republican convention on May 4th. I won’t go into detail as most folks already know the story but here is a link to an article about it.

So why does all this even matter? Why take valuable time to vet candidates? It’s simple really. The RINOs and Corporatists have declared war on the Missouri conservative grassroots. The RINOs and Corporatists DO NOT want to be exposed, they do not want people investigating their voting patterns, past statements or campaign and PAC contributions. There is so much to learn from the contributions to individual campaigns.

For the next 2 months, we will concentrate on vetting the statewide office candidates. We will coordinate with other grassroots organizations as much as possible to help everyone within our reach make the best choice for each office. Missouri is at a crossroads and the next two months are critical for us to make sure “Operation D” does not shape the next four years in Missouri. Operation D will attempt to ensure that the World Economic Forum has a stranglehold in Missouri by controlling Missouri resources, Missouri public schools and shape the economic landscape for decades to come.

Sam Britton with Missouri Liberty Radio has moved his live signature program “Off the Cuff” to Wednesday nights. This past Wednesday, Sam welcomed Gretchen Garrity, writer of the blog “Right to Win Ozarks.” Their conversation was partly focused on censorship and how Gretchen has been recently censored on her blog along with previous censorship she has enjoyed for the crime of speaking the truth about grooming kids. You can hear the replay of Sam’s show with Gretchen here. Sam also recorded a campaign stop of Senator Bill Eigel who is running for Governor while in Owensville yesterday (6-7-24) which you can listen to here.

John Williams with the Missouri Liberty Report produced a live stream last night (6-7-24) with his new co-host Brandon Daugherty. Together, they talked about many hot topics and issues and you can view their broadcast on You Tube or Rumble.

In closing, most folks know America is heading in the wrong direction…FAST. The problems are too many to list. The fact of the matter is, you really do not need to worry about the federal government if you have a Constitutional state and local government. This is where the focus needs to be. This, my friends is the “secret sauce” for freedom. It has been in the state and local governments all along. This is why the RINOs and Corporatists in Republican seats have declared war on the conservative grassroots in Missouri, going as far as to say that conservative grassroots are on the take and regularly receive Democrat dark money. Since we have identified the RINOs and Corporatists taking in enormous amounts to money in their PACs from liberal special interests, their rebuttal/diversion is to say that we, the grassroots are getting untraceable Democrat dark money to go after their (RINO) priorities and exposing their donors.

May God bless us all with good health and with wisdom and courage.

June 1, Live stream Tonight

Happy Saturday gang! We’ll be live tonight on Twitter (X), Rumble, Odysee and You Tube. Tonight, we’ll talk about the importance of the primaries and why the diversions that try to prevent focus on the most important issues are often met with censorship when the distractions are NEVER censored. Gretchen Garrity will join us tonight and talk about how her blog spot provider is censoring her. Recently You Tube is taking down our videos because we play “copyrighted music” at the beginning our live streams. The channel is not monetized so this has always been just a simple “warning” for years, and not video removal for non-monetized channels. In order to stay on you tube, we’ll have to play “non-copyrighted” music at the beginning of the stream or drop music all together from this point on. Rumble, Odysee and Twitter do NOT do this BTW, just You Tube.

I think most people who read this understand that the United States of America is on the decline, and the decline is permanent. There is really nothing we “the people” can do about this at this point, other than use the tools we have with the Constitution and Bill of Rights. The 9th and 10th amendments allow for individuals and states to take back the sovereignty they had at the birth of our nation. This by definition, will help to drain the DC swamp. As our nation becomes a “banana republic” right before our eyes, it is important that states take back their power as quickly as possible. This is literally a race against time and some folks either want forms of communism and/or Marxism to dominate the political discourse (most Democrats), many republicans are focused in on Trump and their hopes he can reverse course “IF” he’s elected. What many people fail to consider in this scenario is censorship of the most important issues and the possibility of a rigged election (even on the state and local votes). Rigged elections, political persecution and censorship are the beating heart of a banana republic. The nightmare scenario – and we’re living it and it remains an elusive concept to most folks out there that want the pre-covid “normalcy” to return. It will not return unless the STATES want it and work toward that end. States, are censored too. States that want federal dollars adhere to all kinds of restrictions and give up their power to the federal government for money. This is nothing less than prostitution. The power the states give up for money is YOUR power and if your local and state politicians are giving up the power that you loaned them (when you voted for them), then they must be voted out of office. Your elected officials auctioning off your power off to the federal government when the federal government is clearly moving toward a Marxist banana republic is the greatest threat America has ever seen but it is censored by the MSM. What’s worse is that we are in the transition to a tyranny NOW. States that do not fight this will be absorbed into the banana republic and will feed the tyranny with their resources. A Central Bank Digital Currency is the ultimate censorship/control tool which is where western governments are unilaterally going.

As the American empire declines, understand the root of the problem which is the dollar. The moral decay in America is tied directly to the dollar as well. This story has played out dozens of times in history and we can learn from it or we can be oblivious to it and ignore it. Either way, everyone’s life will be affected by this – world-wide. In fact, many prominent alternative economic folks say that central banks would rather have a global nuclear war than give up the power they have over the currency supply and ultimately over everyone’s lives. The Constitution has a solution to this – gold and silver as legal tender. Many states did get various gold and silver legislation completed this year, unfortunately Missouri did not – two years in a row with the same players stopping it.

I wonder how many people have noticed that it is generally the economic middle class that fights for freedom. It really does not seem to bother most of the rich folks that America is literally failing economically, politically, morally and culturally. Why would they? It’s this very same corrupt system they have used for years to build their fortunes and IF they fight against it, they stand to lose what they have gained. The same mentality exists for many state’s general assemblies and governors. Many of the less fortunate fight to keep the system in place for fear of losing government subsidies. So, to be clear, the rich and the poor are the largest demographic beneficiaries of the “system” and do not want to “rock the boat.” And as I write this, I understand this isn’t true of all of them but I do think it is the majority. The middle class is on the verge of extinction, a footnote in a history book is all they can hope for because the middle class is incompatible with Marxism, Socialism, Communism and banana republics. The short sightedness of many Americans is disturbing. Many folks have their attention focused on Donald Trump alone. If election systems were not severely compromised perhaps that would be the best play. Since illegals are being allowed to vote in general elections in California, Illinois and possibly New York AND the fact compromised election systems have not been removed from most states, this is not the hill to die on.

In short, the focus MUST be on individual states for the primaries. Investigating all your local and state candidates that you will be voting on is of primary importance. We’ve already seen multiple attempts to further WEF and NWO agendas legislatively in Missouri. It’s not just here either, many states are dealing with this. This is the only LEGAL way to get states locked into contracts, currency, and resources that are complaint with globalist agendas. This is the Achilles’ heel of their power. It’s in the states, it always was in the individual states.

State’s gubernatorial races are critical this cycle. Governors that are willing to say “no” to the federal government are needed more than ever. Governors that are willing to veto legislation that gives away the state’s rights and resources to the globalist cabals and their agendas MUST be elected. Governors that are willing to refuse (even if gradually) federal funding to restore their sovereign state power are needed.

There is an ancient Chinese curse that is constantly entering my thoughts lately, the curse is “May you live in interesting times.” It would seem that curse is upon us now. Prayer is a big part of moving forward folks. Let’s be prayer warriors as well as liberty warriors.

John Williams with the Missouri Liberty Report has sent out the following e-mail:

Hello, everyone.  I hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to an enjoyable weekend.

Last night’s show featured Brandon Daugherty, a Libertarian candidate who’s running for U.S. Congress out of Missouri’s second district.  We talked about a lot of interesting topics including; the Libertarian National Convention, Trump’s trial, a California Rep. who stated her case about being tougher on child traffickers, and that’s just a few of the things we touched on. The main theme was how awful politics is and how government essentially screws everything up.

As some of you know, I’ve stated that I’d love to have a co-host for the show because I believe it makes the shows more engaging and entertaining.  I discussed this last night after the show with Brandon and he stated how he was looking to start a podcast after the election.  With that being said, Brandon will now be co-hosting with me on Fridays.  I’m not saying this is a permanent thing, but it’s something we both want to try.  Brandon will be a first time father in October and that may take him away from the show sometimes.   As a father of 2 kids myself, I understand that family trumps everything else, and he may not be on with me every week.

In essence, I’m wanting to try new things with the show to grow the audience and get them liberty message to more people.  We will be focusing on the policies of government, discussing articles we find, and having guests on that we think will be interesting to you.

Brandon also has graphic arts experience, so you may see reels from the show on social media posts and maybe YouTube.  This is to expand the reach of the show and bring new people to the message.

It’s an interesting time here at the Missouri Liberty Report, and I hope you all continue to watch or listen. I hope you all will continue to enjoy the content.  I look forward to sharing this with you and your continued engagement in the live streams.

With that being said, please continue to support my good friends Sam and Trish Britton at molibertyradio.us.   Sam has switched his show from Sundays to Wednesdays.  It will be the same time, 6-9 pm Central Time, and the same format.  I can’t say enough good things about these two folks.  Their show Off the Cuff has been a staple of liberty content for years and continues to be just that.

Well folks, I hope you enjoy your weekend and the upcoming week.  Let’s keep up the good fight for liberty.  Let’s continue to lift up those who are fighting for the cause.

John Williams

Missouri Liberty Report

And Sam Britton with Missouri Liberty Radio e-mailed out show notes from his show last Wednesday, which can be heard on the archives here.

Here are show notes for the latest OTC broadcast.

This was the debut of our new Wednesday evening schedule. During the first part of the broadcast I went into detail with the issues surrounding our problems with the Internet streams, due to our new router. My apologies for this problem, and we are trying to keep the stream outages to a minimum. I won’t go into as much detail here as I did on the broadcast, but just suffice to say that we are still in an ongoing issue with Netgear over buggy firmware, that is running on the device. As of the time I am sending this out, all streams are up and functioning normally. After we got through all the technical issues, I played some audio from the new American regarding some good news for a change: New American Daily | WHO Pandemic “Treaty” Fails This is good news, but we must remember that these people will try to come back and do this again. The next piece of audio we played was a C-SPAN clip from Bush Junior back when he was president. The seeds were being laid back as far as the early 2000s, for where we are now having gone through this fake pandemic, back in 2020. We didn’t play the whole clip during the broadcast for the sake of time. However, here it is in its entirety: Flashback: National Strategy for Pandemic Preparedness: Video. Our next piece of audio came from a clip that goes even further back than the bush clip. In view of so many new listeners, I decided to play a clip from 60 minutes, back when the 1976 swine flu scare was going on: Vaccines were harming people back then, but we were all called conspiracy theorist, if we tried to expose it. Isn’t it strange, how those theories just mysteriously become facts overtime? The rest of the broadcast was devoted to commentary and phone calls not only on the subject we talked about earlier in the show, but other subjects as well. End of show notes.

In closing, I want to let folks know that we will have to be moving off of Guilded within the next 6 weeks because they will be requiring “Roblox” gaming accounts in order to stay on the platform. I haven’t decided on where to go for our livestream meeting place yet but Twitter (X) is on the table as a possible replacement. If any of you have other ideas, let me know. Telegram and Signal are on the table too.

I hope to see you all tonight.

May God bless us all with good health and with wisdom and courage.

May 11 News Letter

Happy Saturday gang! Amidst talk about Auroras, magnetic fields, sunspots and coronal mass ejections – I am here to remind you of the silver lining…SB735 is going to the House floor VERY soon. We’ll be live tonight at 7:30 PM Central. We’ll be on Twitter (X), Rumble, Odysee and You Tube.

I want to remind everyone first about Mike Moon’s re-elect launch party in Nixa TODAY at 2:00PM. I will be there, Ron Calzone will be there, Tom Martz will be there, Eric Burlison will be there…etc. Details on the image. This is not an endorsement from the Freedom Initiative BTW. This is about re-electing the MOST Constitutional voting Senator we have in the general assembly whose voting record aligns with the Missouri Freedom Initiative’s charter and he is my Senator so I will support him personally.

Now, back to SB735 AKA the Constitutional Money Act. We’ve seen SB735 move VERY fast in the past 2 weeks. In fact, it cleared 2 House committee hearings/reviews this week alone. It’s cleared all hurdles without changes or amendments and is now on the House calendar for Monday, the 13th. This doesn’t mean that floor time on Monday is guaranteed but it is officially on the calendar and it has a LOT of support.

Daniel Diaz (Citizens for Sound Money) and I will be up at the capital beginning Monday whipping the votes. CEOs of silver/gold companies will be flying in and joining us as well. We’ll stay at the capital the entire week if necessary.

 CALL TO ACTION

Please keep the positive and friendly emails and phone calls coming in. They are most definitely helping and we hear from Representatives that they are getting calls and emails about the Constitutional Money Act all the time. You can find your representative on the House Roster or on the app at the bottom of the House landing page. Let’s keep up the energy and the effort. I know many folks are weary however, this is the LAST week of session. It’s the last burst of energy exerted at the end of the race that can help to cross the finish line. Let’s stop calling the governor’s office for now, and concentrate of the House where our focus needs to be. “SB735 WILL come up on the House floor anytime between Monday the 11th at 4:00PM and Friday the 17th at 4:00PM.” – Representative Bill Hardwick

EMAIL FROM RON CALZONE ON IP REFORM

We’ve waited the whole legislative session in Jefferson City for what will happen this Monday, May 13, 2024.

That’s when the Missouri Senate will continue, and finish, debate on SJR 74, the Ratification Reform amendment to the Missouri Constitution.  SJR 74 will put an end to the urban domination of the amendment process and give more Missourians from across the state a voice in what goes into their Constitution.

If SJR 74 comes to a vote, I have NO DOUBT that it will get the 18 votes it needs to go to the ballot for all Missouri voters to weigh in on.

There will be a fight on the Senate floor to prevent that vote.  Democrats will put on a long filibuster, and a few Republicans who aren’t committed to protecting the Constitution from urban dominance may make the difference.

I’ll tell you how you can help, but first a short primer on filibusters.
THE ABSENCE OF A QUORUM
A filibuster is a test of will power. Generally, the side with the most commitment to their position will prevail. It’s a brilliant system that allows a minority with deep convictions to prevail over a majority that only has a preference.
A long filibuster is wearying for both sides. For it to continue the Senate must maintain a quorum — more than half the 34 senators must be present.
If the filibustering side notices that there are less than 18 Senators in the chamber, they can proclaim “The absence of a quorum.”  The Sergeant of Arms then calls all the senators back to the chamber, and the one holding the floor gets a little break.
If fewer than 18 senators show up, the Senate must shut down – the filibuster is a success.

THE REAL TEST OF COMMITMENT TO RATIFICATION REFORM
More than 18 Senators have already committed to voting for SJR 74, but they won’t have a chance to prove that commitment if at least 18 of them don’t make themselves available for a quorum call for as long as the filibuster lasts.
As a long filibuster wears on, the majority floor leader has to ride herd on the rest of the senators to make sure that they ARE available for the quorum calls that sometimes happen in the wee hours of the morning. Concerns about too many senators leaving the Capitol can result in poor compromises or even laying the bill over.
Senate rules (Rule #8) allow 10 senators to use the Sergeant of Arms, or even the Highway Patrol, to take any absent senator into custody and compel their attendance  — perhaps that should be an option in light of how important SJR 74 is.
HOW YOU CAN HELP We need for every Republican senator to realize that the People of Missouri KNOW that they have a duty to answer any quorum call where they are needed to make 18 present.
Every senator needs to know that WE KNOW that their absence is an indication that they aren’t committed to protecting the Constitution with SJR 74.
They need to know that WE KNOW that there is no need to compromise on SJR 74 or substitute it with a bad bill (e.g. HJR 86) as long as they do their duty to answer the quorum call.
Before Monday, call AND email each Republican senator to tell them you expect them:
1) To be available for a quorum call for as long as it takes to pass SJR 74 as it was amended in the House.
2) To use the power or Rule 8 to compel attendance of both Republican and Democrat when there is an absence of a quorum.
(Call over the weekend and leave a short courteous message rather than pester the staff during business hours.)
Missouri Senate Roster
In liberty,
– Ron
Well gang, that about wraps it up. I hope to see many of you at Mike Moon’s re-election launch and/or the live stream tonight.
May God bless us all with good health and with wisdom and courage.

May 4th News Letter

Hey gang, we’ll be live tonight at the usual time. We’ll be on Twitter (X), Rumble, Odysee and You Tube. This email will try to explain where silver and gold legislation are right now as we only have 2 weeks left of session.

As many of you know, Senator Eigel was able to third read SB735 in the Senate on Monday, April 29th. The vote total in the Senate (included below) was 21-10 in favor of the bill. Daniel Diaz (Citizens for Sound Money) and I were at the capitol all day Monday whipping votes (as was Senator Eigel) until the last second before the vote on the Senate floor. Thank you to EVERYONE who called and emailed Senators in the past two weeks. This REALLY helped to make a difference.

The bill has now been 1st and 2nd read in the House and has been assigned to Bill Hardwick’s committee – Emerging Issues. It is there the hearing will be conducted on Monday, May 6th at 2:00PM. Since we are working for a quick turnaround in committee, no one is being asked to testify. This is important, please do NOT show up at the capitol to testify on this bill. The hearing date was a special dispensation for the bill and the hearing MUST be short because of time constraints. However, we should be filling out witness forms for SB735. The link is here. I am asking for everyone to do a witness form. These can and do help, especially if hundreds of forms are filled out supporting the bill.

CALL TO ACTION

It’s time to call/email our reps once again and keep the energy up for SB735. Focus on your rep directly. You may have called and emailed them before on the Constitutional Money Act but it is time to remind them and to ask them to do something for you. We should all be asking our Representatives to meet with Representative Plocher to move the bill along as fast as possible. Again, this MUST be a positive campaign. So let’s stay positive and share our enthusiasm about the bill and WHY it is important for Missouri. Equally important, are the witness forms. PLEASE fill out a witness form before noon on Monday the 6th. Share this information and have your friends and family also fill out witness forms. Let’s try to get 500 or more forms filled out in support of the bill.

It’s important to know this isn’t just happening in Missouri. Approximately 9 states have legislation completed that are moving toward gold and silver legal tender and some have already been signed by their respective governors. I will be creating a flyer for this VERY soon and we’ll discuss these legislative success stories a bit tonight on the stream.

REGULAR BUSINESS

Recently, I was on a new radio show on NewsTalkSTL based in St. Louis, called the Robb Carter show. Daniel Diaz has also been on the show and so has Lori Rook (running for state treasurer). Robb’s show aligns very closely with the Missouri Freedom Initiative’s goals and charter so I suspect he’ll be interviewing a lot of candidates and grassroots leaders in Missouri this spring and summer.

Yesterday, Daniel and I were invited by Locke and Smith Foundation’s Tom Martz on the Nick Reed show on https://ksgf.com. During the 3 hour visit, Stacy Shore with Shield Maidens of Missouri joined us and in the last hour, Senator Mike Moon joined us as well. You can hear the show in parts. The first hour with Daniel, Tom and I. The second hour which Stacy Shore joins and the third hour with Mike Moon.

Now, a bit more about Senator Mike Moon. Moon has been a stalwart and ferocious defender of the US Constitution and the Missouri Constitution. He is the Senator of district 29, which includes a large chunk of S.W. Missouri. Mike took on a LOT of fire last year as his bill (SB49) was going through the legislature, a bill the Missouri Freedom Initiative was PROUD to support and work alongside other grassroots organizations. The S.A.F.E. Act was comprehensive protection of children in Missouri from transitioning from one gender to another before the age of 18. He has done so much more but that victory was HUGE and it started a direct attack on him which has culminated in establishment politicians with deep pockets to challenge his seat in the Missouri Senate. For someone who votes ONLY constitutionally in the legislature and wants to protect kids this is somewhat of conundrum. Why would establishment republicans want to replace a Senator who ACTUALLY follows his oath of office and listens to his constituents? The answer is OBVIOUS, the establishment wants Mike unseated so they do not have to put up with a Senator that votes constitutionally and is one of the precious few oath keepers representing the people in Jefferson City. Mike Moon is a HUGE supporter for the Missouri Constitutional Money Act (SB735) and is in fact, the FIRST to co-sponsor the bill. Mike is also a friend to all conservative grassroots organizations and has made his office available to them for the past 12 years (8 years in the House, 4 years in the Senate).

Although the Missouri Freedom Initiative as an organization does not endorse candidates, we should most certainly support the people we want in office as individuals. Mike Moon is my Senator and I am quite proud of the work he has done and he has my full support. In lieu of this, I wanted to make sure folks know about his campaign kick-off on May 11 (next Saturday) in Nixa, Missouri. Representative Eric Burlison will be there along with MANY grassroots leaders supporting Mike Moon. I will be there as well. I encourage everyone who can come to this event to be there. It is VERY important that we keep Senator Moon in the Senate. It is equally important that we show our support for his candidacy as he is being challenged by an establishment republican who clearly does not appreciate Mike’s constitutional stance in the general assembly. I will be there at 1:30PM. EVERYONE is welcome. You can see more about this event on Facebook.I hope to see you there.

When:
Saturday, May 11 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. (Doors open at 1:30.)

Where:
River Stone Fellowship
2129 Bristol Lane
Nixa, MO 65714

Just a note, Citizens for Sound Money are hiring a revenue officer. You can see the job description here. If you are interested and qualify, feel free to apply for the job.

That’s all for now gang. Let’s hope and pray there is a vote today for the state convention to include gold/silver as legal tender in the Missouri Republican platform today. We’ll cover this tonight. May the 4th be with you. J

May God bless us all with good health and with wisdom and courage.

April 27 News Letter

Happy Saturday gang. As always, a lack of time prevents a more detailed email but I think I will send a second e-mail tomorrow for things that need to be on all of our radars. For now, know we are going to be live tonight at the normal time of 7:30 PM. You can find the stream tonight on Twitter (X), Rumble, Odysee and You Tube.

We have 3 weeks left of session in the Missouri legislature. It’s going to be filled with spills and chills and gut wrenching twists and turns as it is most years at this time. However, it’s important to stay the course on silver and gold legislation as it will be on the Senate floor on Monday (2 days from now). Right now, the email from last week is still EXTREMELY important, so I will copy and paste the last email call to action.

CALL TO ACTION

Senator Karla May can be emailed here and her office phone number is 573-751-3599. Let’s make sure Senator May knows how much we appreciate her vote on SB735. Senator May was interviewed by the film crew for the sound money TV show because she was the only Democrat to vote “yes” in the Senate last year on SB100. She is a trail blazer on this issue for her party and should be a considered source of encouragement for the Democrats to support sound money legislation.

Next is Senator Mary Elizabeth Coleman. Although Senator Coleman did not vote during the roll call, she did co-sponsor the bill during the perfection process. We need to call and email Senator Coleman and thank her for co-sponsoring SB735 and let her know we look forward to her “yes” vote on third read for final Senate passage of the bill. You can call Senator Coleman’s office at 573-751-1492 and e-mail her here.

Next is Senator Lincoln Hough. Senator Hough voted yes last year on SB100 but declined to vote on the roll call yesterday for SB735. Senator Lincoln Hough wants to be the next Lt. Governor of the state of Missouri. Let’s let him know that declining to vote on the SB735 roll call (which is quickly headed on its way into the Missouri Republican platform) does not show leadership, it shows weakness. We expect more from someone who wants to be Lt. Governor especially since sound money is quickly making its way to the Missouri Republican platform. Senator Hough’s office number is 573-751-1311. You can e-mail Senator Hough here.

Finally, four Senators that need some extreme encouragement.

  1. Senator Mike Cierpoit was the ONLY republican Senator to vote “no” on SB100 last year. To no one’s surprise, he voted “no” on the SB735 yesterday. Let him know what you think of his vote. Ask him how his constituents are asking him to vote on the Constitutional Money Act. You can call Senator Cierpoit’s office at 573-751-1464 and email him here.
  2. Senator Justin Brown voted “yes” on SB100 last year but voted “no” on the roll call vote yesterday on SB735. I think phone calls and emails are in order here to question why he suddenly does not support virtually the SAME bill he voted yes for last year. Senator Brown’s office number is 573-751-5713. You can email Senator Brown here.
  3. Senator Mike Bernskoetter also voted “yes” last year on SB100 and voted “no” on the roll call for SB735 just like Senator Brown did. Let’s find out why and encourage him to vote “yes” on third read next week. Senator Bernskoetter’s office number is 573-751-2076. You can email Senator Bernskoetter here.
  4. Senator Elaine Gannon voted “yes” on SB100 last year but has inexplicably changed her vote to “no” for the roll call on SB735 yesterday. Let’s call and email the Senator end encourage her to vote “yes” on third read next week. Senator Gannon’s office number is 573-751-4008. You can email Senator Gannon here.

I cannot overstate how important this is to do. I know a lot of folks feel burned out and discouraged. However, we still have time to get this done. This call to action is VERY important and I am going to ask that everyone participate ASAP. This is not something to put off, it is something we should be working this weekend. I am also asking that EVERYONE share this with their networks and organizations immediately.

May God bless us all with good health and with wisdom and courage.

News Special, April 19

It’s Friday gang and there is a lot to report on but for lack of time before I head out to work, I’ll keep this as short and to the point as possible. Not going to talk about SB727 in this. This is about the Constitutional Money Act.

Senator Eigel’s SB735 (The Constitutional Money Act) had floor time on Thursday and a “roll call” vote was taken. The vote came in 17 yes, 13 no and 4 absent. This was not a vote to pass the bill, it was a vote to see what the temperature was and if folks who voted yes last year would vote no this year. It was a mixed bag. We have some work to do. We expect a third read and vote on SB 735 next week, most likely Thursday.

Before the call to action, I want to remind everyone that the last month of session is an emotional roller coaster. What’s worse it changes every day from good news to bad news and back again. This is the same every year. For those that were with us during the SAPA legislation of 2021, you’ll probably remember this.

Attached to this email is an image of the roll call votes in the Senate. First and foremost, we need to send some love to Democrat Senator Karla May, the ONLY Democrat to vote yes on the SB735 roll call vote (and SB100 last year)! We can certainly recognize and appreciate her willingness to vote yes on a sound money bill that most democrats in the general assembly do not want no matter how much their constituents want it.

Finally, I want to say that SB735, HB1955 and SB835 would NEVER have gotten as far as they have without support. That credit goes to EVERYONE who has called, emails and showed up at the capitol to support this legislation. So my thanks to all of you who are supporting this legislation. We’re in the final month of the session (last day is May 17). Let’s keep working this and get it done. I spent a lot of time at the capitol this past week and am behind in my job. I am playing catch up once again and may have to work tomorrow (unfortunately). So in case there is no email tomorrow or live stream tomorrow night I wanted to let you all know that I will be attending the prepared homestead meeting this Sunday (21st). Also of interest, Ron Calzone of Missouri First is a featured speaker at the meeting! So if you have not met Ron, this is a good opportunity to do so. If you have never attended a meeting and are going, please email Travis at preparedhomestead@protonmail.com and let him know you want to come to the meeting. This is important since food is served there and a head count before the meetings are always helpful.

And for a bit of fun, I wanted to let you know that our friend Daniel Diaz (Citizens for Sound Money) is in Puerto Rico right now as I type this and is visiting with Mike Maloney. I am sure Daniel is sharing his stories with Mike from spending time with us in Missouri and how hard we have fought for Sound Money legislation.

May God bless us all with good health and with wisdom and courage.
